Job Title: HVAC Technician
Job Summary: ERA has an immediate need for a HVAC Installer/Technician in the Longview, Texas area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs preventive maintenance, diagnostic testing, overhauling, installation and repairs on a large variety of types of extremely sophisticated dehumidification, air-conditioning, ventilation and heating systems equipment.
The incumbent will be required to respond to emergency calls after working hours, weekends and holidays to facilitate emergency repairs to equipment that is critical.
Incumbent may be directed to perform other duties as needed and directed.
The work performed will be truck based work. The HVAC Technician will be required to accept and close out work orders using a handheld device, and be able to work independently or with assigned helper to meet the goals.
Qualifications:
Must have HVAC experience in mobile operations, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial AC & heating equipment.
Must have skill and technical ability to interpret to complete installations and repairs as required to minimize down-time.
Must have working knowledge of: Sheet metal, fire dampers, zone control, airflow volume, minor plumbing systems, electrical circuits, solenoids, transformers, timers, etc.
Must have a working knowledge of building automation and zoning controls.
Must be proficient in all types of soldering and brazing techniques.
Must be well versed in various test equipment.
Must have EPA refrigeration certification.
Must be at least be Registered with TDLR. Certified is a plus.
Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing and clean driving history.
Must have good verbal communication skills, customer service skills and be able to read, write and understand the English language. Spanish is a plus
